THOUSANDS of tonnes of asbestos contaminated waste from the Parkes ASIO site will now not be dumped over the border. Murrumbateman residents are relieved 35,000 tonnes of building rubble won’t be dumped at their landfill, after talks between the Yass Council and the ASIO site broke down. SAM HUNT reports.
