Greens set to steal Albanese seat

By EWAN GILBERT
A complicated flow of preferences could see the sitting member for Infrastructure, Anthony Albanese lose his inner Sydney seat of Grayndler to the Greens.

Despite streaking ahead with 47 percent of the vote with nearly three quarters counted, Mr Albanese could be in trouble with the third placed Liberals set to give their prefences to the 2nd placed Greens candidate, Sam Byrne.

Taken now the Greens would win the seat by slightly more than 1,500 votes.

With 25% of votes yet to come Mr Albanese can only hope to see a significant slowing in Labors current swing in the seat of -8.5 percent.
