The ALP has suffered major swings against it in Queensland, in a possible response to the ousting of former Prime Minister Kevin Rudd.
AEC projections predict Labor will lose seven seats in the state, with a negative swing of almost 10% in the primary vote.
Kevin Rudd has felt the impact of the swings, losing 9.3% of the primary vote in his seat of Griffith.
The Liberal National Party is projected to hold 54.6% of Queensland’s two party preferred vote, a swing of 5.6%.
