Pacific art goes on exhibition

SEAN FORD talks to Brian Fallon, frontman for the Gaslight Anthem, which has just produced an album called The '59 Sound.Fallon says that the band was “trying to refine that 50s sound and that real classic American sound that we had from all those guys like Elvis Presley”.

Moving forward: a decade of lame excuses

In the music world, it is rare for a band to survive for more than a few years. It is even more uncommon for a high-school band to taste success. Canberra punks Lamexcuse have played with some of the greatest bands of the modern punk genre.

Their support shows have included playing alongside international greats such as Strike Anywhere, Strung Out and No Use for a Name. They have also played with Australian heavyweights like Horsell Common and Trial Kennedy.

Canberra filmmakers take on comic industry

Journalism students at the University of Canberra, Australia, have provided the content for this online publication. The content displays news articles in print, radio and television and full radio and television bulletins produced by students.
The site is designed, compiled and maintained by Crispin Hull, head of print journalism. The convenor of journalism at UC is Simon Brady. Broadcast lecturers are: Jennifer Kitchener and Julie Posetti.
