Top 5 Movies in 2013?

2013 has lined up some (hopefully!) great films for everyone, and they’re all coming our way soon. Here are 5 that you’ve got to keep your eye on!

1. Man of Steel

With  Zach Snyder (300, Watchmen) directing, and Christopher Nolan (director of The Dark Knight trilogy) helping out on production duties, there is serious potential for this film to top end of year lists. Whether or not these talents mesh well won’t be known until its June release, but the hype surrounding Man of Steel is massive. Let’s hope it can live up to it.

2. Monsters University

Pixar’s track record is impressive, and the fact that this prequel wasn’t rushed out following Monsters, Inc. as a quick cash grab indicates there’s likely some serious planning and development behind it. There’s hope this one will ignite nostalgia for many while retaining a fresh quality, much in the does ativan and xanax show up same on drug screen same way Toy Story 3 did.

3. The Way, Way Back

Written and directed by Nat Faxon and Jim Rash, who both won Oscars for Best Adapted Screenplay for The Descendants (along with Alexander Payne), this film could be set to fly under your radar if you don’t pay attention. It might not be the big budget blockbuster of the year, but that could just as easily play to its strengths.

4. Only God Forgives

While it’s not a sequel, if you saw Drive, then you’ll know exactly what Ryan Gosling and director Nicolas Winding Refn can do together. If you haven’t – you’ve got a couple of months to get yourself up to speed and excited.

5. This Is The End

When you’ve got actors like James Franco and Seth Rogen playing themselves, and it’s the end of the world – you know it’s time to get the popcorn out.
