Canberra rockers Hands Like Houses are making their name known around the world this year after their national and international success in 2013.

The band is made up of six members: Trenton Woodley on lead vocals, Matt Cooper on lead guitar, Alexander Pearson on rhythm guitar and backing vocals, Joel Tyrrell on bass guitar, Jamal Sabet on Keyboard and Matt Parkitney on drums.

When signed to American label Rise Records in 2012, the guys took the musical community by storm after dropping their debut album Ground Dweller in March 2012. The album showcased the talent the entire band has to offer.

Following the release of their highly anticipated second album Unimagine in July 2013, the band was added to the Sleeping With Sirens and Pierce the Veil UK tours. Adding to their international presence was their appearance at the 2013 annual US Vans Warped Tour alongside fellow Aussie band, The Amity Affliction.

Earlier in the year the band had their first  Aussie headline tour playing at the Australian National University. The ANU Bar was packed with devoted fans screaming the words along to each song.

No Parallels is the first single off the album Unimagine, which was nominated in this years Triple J Hottest 100, was easily the crowd favourite of the night. They are headlining their first ever UK tour in April and May, and a headline tour across the US in May and June. A portion of the ticket sales are being donated towards breast cancer awareness. The band has been nominated for Best International Newcomer in the 2014 Kerrang! Awards, organised by the rock music magazine of the same name which recognises musicians across assorted categories worldwide.
