The large number of hotspots in Canberra is giving university students the flexibility to access free WI-FI to assist them with their studies.

University of Canberra student, Chris Murphy explained that the access to CBRFree Wi-Fi has given him the flexibility to study without relying on coming to school to do research.

Murphy says “It’s made it easier, I don’t have to come to uni to work on an assignment.”

While the service isn’t available in all locations, Murphy has found the service to be a more convenient alternative to working on campus.

“It’s not unlimited internet of course, but I can go to a café or something in belco and do some work without having to go all the way to school, find parking and find a free desk in the library.”
