Best Pho in Canberra for Takeaway and Delivery
Pho is a traditional rice noodle soup dish that is normally served for breakfast or lunch in Vietnam. Made with a beef bone stock-based broth mixed with rice noodles, onion, Thai basil, bean sprouts, lemon, chilli, and a choice of beef or other kinds of meat, pho is a heartwarming food suitable for the chilly winter. As a pho lover, I am obsessed by the natural sweetness of the soup and fresh texture with the combination of beef and vegetables.
Luckily there are more than 20 Vietnamese restaurants which provide authentic pho across Canberra. Although a few of them are temporarily closed due to the coronavirus outbreak, most of them are still running their business by providing takeaway and delivery service. Below I’ve listed five best pho in the nation’s capital, based on taste, price, distance to UC and the quality of takeaway and delivery service. Also, a vegan option is included.

There are two options available for pho: rare beef and special beef. The prices fall around $14 to $17.5, the lighter style soup was reasonably priced for the quality of the meal. Pho Phu Quoc Vietnamese Restaurant
Presentation: Pho Phu Quoc has to make the list! Located in Dickson, the restaurant provides the most flavoursome pho in Canberra. There are six options on the menu, such as rare beef, beef flank, mix combination with beef balls and chicken. The prices fall around $14 to $16. For an extra five dollars, you can enjoy the larger size. The rare beef is extremely tender and the soup is rich with a natural sweetness. I was surprised by the sophisticated dish and the price is definitely justified.
Delivery quality: I ordered the food through EASI application as I am living more than 7 kilometres away from the restaurant. The delivery fees come to $10.24 in the end, which is a bit overpriced for me. However, it is convenient to check the estimated arrival time on the application.
Delivery information: Free delivery for a minimum order of $40 within 7 kilometres radius of Dickson. Opening for dinner from 5 to 9 pm every day except Tuesday. If you are living more than 7 kilometres away, order on EASI application without a minimum price limitation, but with a higher delivery fee.
