Laughs, nonsense and confusion: Aunty Donna’s Netflix special will divide the audience
The Melbourne-based comedy trio, Aunty Donna, have taken their shenanigans to a whole new level of extraordinary when it comes to putting their latest series together.
For those who have been following the comedy group since they first formed a decade ago, Aunty Donna’s Big Ol’ House of Fun is for you.
From ‘talking dishwashers’, ‘lympic games’, and ‘cowdoy’, the show is as whacky as it gets, and if you haven’t watched the series yet, you’re probably already in a state of confusion.

To summarise the series, it’s about three grown men named Broden, Zach, and Mark going about their lives in the weirdest of circumstances.
The series is set entirely in a house, with no location, street name, or history mentioned at all.
Aunty Donna’s Big Ol’ House of Fun also features several special guests throughout the series, including Antony Starr, Ed Helms, Karan Soni, and Weird Al Yankovic.
The show starts off with the characters singing a song about how everything’s a drum, causing serious damage to the house they live in.
And if you thought that was weird to watch, then you have another thing coming. Because honestly, it’s not until the third episode that you stop trying to think about what’s going on and just enjoy it for what it is.
It’s a combination of the group’s previous video and live performance sketches, transformed into two hours of complete mayhem.

It’s a series with no real end goal that lacks any form of structure and to be honest, it’s not going to be everyone’s cup of tea.
That being said, personally, I loved it.
It’s an escape from the stress-filled life that we all live in, taking us into a world of laughs, madness and losing it every five minutes in anticipation of what they’ll come up with next.
There will be people that don’t get the complete nonsense of it all, due to the type of comedy it is, but people like me will find it absolutely hilarious.
The fact that the series is so dumb, weird, and random all at the same time, is why it’s so funny. These are also the reasons why some people won’t enjoy it.
However, if you’re looking for something out of the ordinary to have on your screens, Aunty Donna’s Big Ol’ House of Fun would be the pick from me.
