Labor in chance to retain Lindsay

By ALEX McCONACHIE
Labor is facing an uphill battle to retain the key battleground seat of Lindsay in western Sydney.

Incumbent candidate David Bradbury has suffered a 6 per cent swing against him to find himself in danger of losing the seat to Liberal candidate Fiona Scott.

With 72 per cent of the vote counted, Labor is requiring preferences from the Greens in order to just get over the line, with a projected two candidate vote of 50.28 per cent.

Lindsay encompasses the state electorate of Penrith, where Labor suffered an embarassing defeat in a by-election recently.

While not as notorious as Eden-Monaro, Lindsay has been won by the party who has won government in every election since it was established in 1984.
