Voted as Lonely Planets third best city in the world to visit, Canberra has some great venues to get you and your friends together and out of the house. Whether it is a team bonding experience, a work Christmas party or just the need for an activity the whole friendship group can be a part of, there are plenty of places who have got you covered.

Escape Room – Riddle Room Canberra

Based in Mitchell, Riddle Room was Canberra’s first escape room and is rated number 1 on TripAdvisor Australia wide. Escape rooms are specially designed rooms where the participants are ‘locked’ in and need to solve a series of puzzles to escape the room. Riddle Room currently have four rooms running, two identical Nightmare Rooms, The Hotel Room and The Dungeon. Whilst they all give the challenger a unique experience, The Hotel Room was the most impressive. The room was completely keyless and lockless, which required the team to think in a different way. According to their social media, Riddle Room also has plans to expand. Building six new rooms in the space next door. This is a great way to get your team off their phones and thinking in a new way. At $40 per person, it’s time to grab your friends and start solving puzzles! They even won an Out In Canberra award!

Ice skating – Phillip Swimming and Ice Skating Centre

Ice skating at Phillip Swimming and Ice Skating Centre has been a staple activity in any Canberran’s boredom list for years.
