Football Fans Elated With Champions Cup To be Played In Melbourne.
July 18th– 24th will see one of the biggest footballing events to ever occur in this country. Three world class teams will be hitting
Australian shores to play in the first ever champions cup to be held here.
Real Madrid, arguably the best team in the world will be bringing Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale along with the rest of their squad worth well over $500 million. English powerhouse Manchester City will join them as well as Italian Series A team AS Roma.
Football fans around the country are excited for this event – tickets have been sold out months prior. The tournament will see three games at the MCG, kicking off with Real Madrid against AS Roma. TheItalian side will then play Manchester City before the biggest and most anticipated game on the final day – Real Madrid vs Manchester City.
The organisers of the competition are hoping to build on the local appetite for the game that saw 95,000 people crammed into the MCG to watch Liverpool play against Melbourne Victory in 2013.
This event is sure to be massive and has football fans around the nation salivating. These are exiting times for football in Australia.
