Smith's Summer Sounds and Sangria
Just outside the city centre, Summer Sounds and Sangria features local bands performing in the intimate and relaxed atmosphere of Smith’s alternative bookshop.
With jazz being the order of the day, band Conversation played smooth and funky jazz entertaining the crowd in the quiet Sunday afternoon.
The acts and atmosphere combined well to create a relaxed and welcoming vibe for all, with the audience comprising an eclectic mix of people in their early 20s to the middle-aged. The band played while revellers relaxed on couches and at tables in front of the stage, set against the cosy confines and collections of books and records. With a selection of sangria at $5 a glass, drinks are affordable and are accompanied by a range of food and coffee to enhance the experience of the live music. Smith’s Summer Sounds and Sangria is a relaxed and comfortable way to sit back and enjoy a Sunday afternoon, and what better way to waste away an afternoon than with a few quiet sangrias and some great live music.
